WILL I NEED A TOUCH UP AFTER MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT? HOW LONG WILL MY NEW BROWS LAST?
Most clients require two sessions to perfect their brows. This would be a "Perfection Session", that is scheduled during your first session. Perfection Session's are scheduled 6-10 weeks after the initial session and are an additional $100. These touch-up appointments are not required, as some clients don't experience much fading and a touch-up is not necessary. Touch-ups every 1-2 years is recommended to maintain the color and shape.
Brow tattoo's can last 1-3 years depending on skin type, sun exposure, and lifestyle. Those with oily skin types tend to fade faster than those with dry skin types.
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?
All brow services are split in two sessions, which are 6-10 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take about 2.5 to 3 hours, most of which is drawing and perfecting the shape. Your "Perfection Session" appointment takes 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how much of the strokes have faded.
DOES IT HURT?
Some clients are more sensitive than others. Please don't schedule your appointment if you are on your cycle. This makes the skin much more sensitive. I liken the pain to be similar to that of having 2-3 hairs plucked at once. It is slightly uncomfortable, but not unbearable. I use medical grade anesthetics which I can use to make you as comfortable and pain-free as possible. I use a topical anesthetic to pre-numb before the procedure and one during, to continue the comfort. However, I personally like the healed results much better if clients skip the pre-numb. I feel the lines look more crisp and heal so much better. I let every client know my opinion before, so they can choose during their appointment.
HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
Your brows will appear darker the first two to three days, after that time your brows will start to flake and heal. Everyone heals differently but on average it takes about 10 to 14 days to completely heal. You may leave a bit red after your appointment but don’t worry, you don’t have to hide from the world right after you get them done. There is absolutely no "down time".
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE SHAPE AND COLOR?
We choose your custom shape and style together. I do not use templates. At the beginning of your appointment we will discuss what you want your new brows to look like (pictures help as references). Then I will come up with a design shape specific to your wants and your bone structure. I will make measurements to make them as symmetrical as possible. Just remember that no one's face is symmetrical and I'm not a surgeon or a wizard! ;)
We choose a color that matches your natural brow hair. So remember if you tint your brows regularly you MUST tint them 2-3 days prior to your appointment. Also, remember while choosing your color it will fade up to 50% after your first visit.
WHAT TYPES OF PIGMENTS DO YOU USE?
I use pigments which are specifically formulated for permanent cosmetics. I use the Phibrows brand which is made in Austria. These pigments are the most stable in the world, meaning they do not change color when fading. No reaction to magnet (100% MRI safe). This brand is vegan-friendly and made cruelty-free.
WHO IS INELIGIBLE?
I do not provide services for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like retin-A, accutaine and steroids. If you have had previous permanent makeup, please contact me first before scheduling an appointment.
WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?
Thirty minutes after your procedure you will clean the brows with provided cleanser. You will then apply a barrier ointment that I give you. After 48 hours, you can gently clean, without scrubbing, and apply the ointment 1-3 times a day. You MUST stay out of the sun, sauna, water, no excessive working out for at least 10 days. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade or gray.
WHAT IF I HAVE A SCAR IN MY BROW?
You can still get your brows done if you have a scar, unless you have a keloid scar. I do recommend if you have a scar just send me a photo so I can look before you book an appointment.
CAN I GET MY BROWS DONE OR GET REMOVAL IF I AM PREGNANT OR NURSING?
No.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU EXCEPT?
I accept credit/debit cards, cash, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Paypal. A 3% charge will be applied to credit card payments. A 5% discount for cash and Zelle payments!
CANCELLATIONS, NO-SHOWS AND LATE POLICY
I kindly ask if you are not going to make your appointment, please extend me the courtesy of texting or emailing to let me know. Should you decide to cancel less than 72 hours notice or if you don't show up, this will result in forfeiture of your deposit. You may reschedule without paying another deposit. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
